Professional Drafter

Drafter Position C&M is hiring for the construction drafting and designing department Compensation  Base pay will be negotiated on experience and ability.
Range is from $50-$65k/year  Paid time off and paid holidays.

Daily Responsibilities  Produce shop drawings, plans, and layouts as required for precast concrete and construction projects.
 Track and log changes as needed to maintain an accurate project history.
 Monitor and ensure all products and designs meet and exceed C&M quality standards.
 Actively work with team to find improvements.
 Use CAD and other drafting programs to complete shop drawings as needed.
 Participate in take offs and project planning as directed.
 This position is expected to be 40-50 hrs per week on average and will occasionally require long hours.
 Work with safety manager and plant manager to improve efficiency, safety and quality.
 Maintain an organized and clean office Qualifications  Ability to learn quickly.
 Proficiency with Auto-CAD and familiarity with construction drawings.
 Previous construction experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
 Maintain an organized collection of project files with drawings and supporting documents.
