Position Summary
Primary responsibility is to continuously improve and lead on assigned projects.
Supervise and train craftsman on your team.
Maintain and update required drawings, specs, and documents.
Work within assigned team to develop and execute projects and to promote increased skills throughout your assigned crew(s).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
• Read and understand plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, details, specifications, erection manuals and/or blue prints and makes competent decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
• Use basic rigging procedures and equipment including chain hoists, come-alongs, jacks and tuggers.
• Work in close quarters, confined spaces and tolerate high temperatures.
• Secure components together applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Correctly select appropriate equipment and plan the layout and assembly of a welding process.
• Bolt, clamp and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Prepare material for welding, set material in stands, racks, hoists etc.
for welding.
Qualifications
• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess mastery level proficiency in all tasks required for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools
Requirements
• Able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools
• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
