The CXa is responsible for working alongside the design and construction team under the JPC design-build contract to verify and document that each JPC and all of its systems are planned, installed, inspected, tested, operated and managed as designed.
Responsible for ensuring that all JPC systems, except IT, meet Authority Having Jurisdiction codes and standards to pass inspection.
*Duties:*
- Perform *construction inspections* to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of construction projects.
- Estimate construction costs and prepare project budgets.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
- Manage construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee electrical installations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure project success.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.
*Skills:*
*- Construction inspection*: Ability to assess construction sites and identify potential issues or violations.
*- Construction estimating*: Proficiency in accurately estimating construction costs and creating project budgets.
*- Quality control*: Strong attention to detail and ability to implement quality control measures throughout the construction process.
*- Construction management*: Experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, including coordinating resources and ensuring timely completion.
*- Project managemen*t: Ability to effectively plan, organize, and oversee construction projects to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
*- Electrical knowledge*: Understanding of electrical systems and ability to oversee electrical installations in accordance with safety regulations.
*- Quality inspection*: Skill in conducting thorough inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
*Requirements:*
*- Must have a Bachelor's degree*
*-Must have 10+ years of experience leading and performing CXa tasks.
*
*-Must be Certified Commissioning Authority (CXa) Certified is REQUIRED.

*- Must have Construction background*
- This is a *part-time consulting* position.
Need to be able to work when required.
- Projects will be in Eagle Pass, TX, Yuma, AZ, and Laredo, TX, so there will be some travel to these locations.
