INTRODUCTION
AMI Expeditionary Healthcare has a federal contract to hire contracted medical staff to work along the southwest border of the United States.
Contracted medical staff work to provide health care services for persons of all ages, to include infants, children, adults, and pregnant women.
MISSION
The federal contract employs a family medicine model to provide frontline medical care.
This model provides a team of medical professionals comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers (e.
g.
, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners) and support staff (e.
g.
, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Paramedics, EMTs, Certified Medical/Nursing Assistants).
These contracted medical teams provide basic assessment and medical treatment, to include emergency care as needed.
The federal contract is committed to ensuring a system of care that is ethical, responsible, and accountable.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning and implementing patient care using established medical protocols, policies, and procedures
Communicating with physicians, nurses, other medical staff, patients and their families, insurance companies, and other outside entities as needed
Managing supply inventories of medications, equipment, and other materials used in patient care
Ensuring that all medical records are properly maintained and organized, including paper records and electronic records such as those stored on computer databases or in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Coordinating with hospital administrators to ensure that adequate staffing is available for each shift
Communicating with patients about lab results, test results, and other pertinent information regarding their health care
Performing administrative tasks such as preparing purchase orders to replenish inventory, processing invoices, and updating inventory records
Organizing and maintaining medical records using computerized systems or manual filing methods
Scheduling appointments, maintaining records of patient visits, and providing administrative support to physicians
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Supply/Logistics field in relation to a federal government procurement environment.
