Position Summary:
Responsible for providing guidance, planning, and direction of the Labor Room, Delivery Room, Postpartum Units and Nursery.
Responsible for making independent judgment/decisions concerning emergency situations in the absence of the physician or other medical authority.
Responsible for maintaining good public relations in the areas assigned.
Performs duties in any nursing capacity as qualified and needed, to include Relief House Supervisor, when required.
Responsible for interpreting and presenting policies, procedures, and standards for approval and implementation in the Labor Room, Delivery Room, Nursery and Postpartum Units.
Experience: Five (5) years experience in Obstetrical nursing (Labor Room, Delivery Room, Nursery and Postpartum Unit).
Previous general and supervisory experience required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.
: Must have a Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
Education: Graduate of the state-approved school of professional nursing practice.
Maintains current licensure in the State of Texas.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
