Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions Based on contract needs, the Technician will be in a cafeteria-style setting, helping with the preparation, presentation and serving of meals.
Inspects, cleans, and sanitizes, and maintains tidiness of all food contact surfaces and equipment including but not limited to countertops, work surfaces, and display areas daily, weekly, and monthly.
Receives deliveries, unloads delivery trucks, stores stock, takes count of inventory.
Assembles simple, high volume request meals including but not limited to repetitiously building sandwiches and filling and rolling burritos, as required by contract.
Perform basic math for portioning and food waste management.
Packing takeaway meals, when required by contract.
Adheres to pre-determined rotating menu or other specific requests made by client.
When contract requires, produces hot and/or cold foods using ready-to-eat and prepared ingredients using the following techniques: slicing, boiling, thawing, large batch mixing, reheating, frying, roasting, and more.
Assist in performance of Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.
Ability to serve food in remote locations away from production facility taking up to 12000 steps per day.
Communicates well with the Food Service Manager to ensure the proper quantity and quality of meals are ready at the time of service.
Based on contract needs, the Technician will be in a cafeteria-style setting, helping with the preparation, presentation and serving of meals.
Trains on forklift safety and acts as a spotter for forklift drivers, when needed.
Exhibits safe and proficient knife skills.
Breaks down boxes and takes out trash after each meal service and as needed throughout the day.
Perform proper labeling and storage of TCS foods (time and temperature controlled for safety) Uses electronic device to complete daily safety, quality, and sanitation checks.
Uses electronic device to log hours, complete online trainings, access emails, etc.
Perform all duties with a positive attitude towards coworkers, vendors, and customers.
Maintains professional demeanor during all working hours and anytime when in public places in uniform.
Train and mentor new staff as required, including leading site tours for new staff as well as all daily tasks.
Masters use of pallet jack and other human-assist tools / equipment Occasionally assist in organizing and cleaning company owned facilities & storage yards.
Drive box trucks or delivery vans to pick-up and deliver catered meals and drop off temperature-controlled packaging weighing upwards of 50 to 75 lbs.
